Joel founded Alarm Design Solutions in 2001 and has spent over 25 years mastering the art of fire alarm design. With more than 10,000 submittals completed across Colorado, he brings an unmatched depth of code knowledge and jurisdictional experience to every project we take on. Every plan that leaves our office has been reviewed and approved by Joel personally.
Josh Blatt
Plan Designer & Vice President
NICET Level 3
Josh brings nearly six years of hands-on fire alarm experience to the team, handling everything from plan design to project billing. He keeps the business running smoothly behind the scenes while delivering accurate, code-compliant drawings on the front end. Josh is currently pursuing his NICET Level 3 certification.

Matthew joined Alarm Design Solutions about a year ago and has hit the ground running, contributing to plan design while building his technical foundation in fire alarm systems. He is currently pursuing his NICET Level 1 certification and brings a fresh perspective and sharp attention to detail to the team.

Penne is the heart of the ADS office and the first to greet anyone who walks through the door. As our Client Relations Coordinator, she specializes in boosting team morale, providing emotional support during tight deadlines, and ensuring the office atmosphere remains warm and welcoming. She takes her role very seriously — especially the snacking portion.
